Ant-Man is a Marvel character with the ability to shrink in size while increasing in strength. The most well-known version in recent popular culture is Scott Lang, a master thief and electronics expert.
Scott Lang first appeared as Ant-Man in the MCU movie *Ant-Man* (2015). Recruited by Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, Scott becomes the new Ant-Man after being released from prison and trained in the use of the Ant-Man suit.
Lang utilizes the suit to combat threats and protect his family. The suit is the creation of scientist Dr. Hank Pym and features pym particles, allowing the wearer to shrink to insect size while maintaining or increasing strength. In the MCU, he has also been known as Giant-Man by growing to enormous sizes.
The character is portrayed by actor Paul Rudd in the MCU.
